Kindly note that we’re unable to deliver at exact times of the day unless this has been arranged with us in advance.

 

Same-day delivery is available for most delivery areas listed below.

Please note: suburbs marked with a (*) may miss the same-day delivery if orders come in late, as some floral designs take extra time to prepare before the courier arrives.

 

No one there to receive Item

To minimise the chance of redelivery fees, and unless we’re advised otherwise, we assume the sender consents to the courier leaving the flowers unattended in a safe location, or with a suitable person such as a building manager, neighbour, or colleague when the recipient cannot be reached.

Once the flowers have been delivered to that safe location or entrusted to a relevant person, No Walrus and our couriers are not liable for any loss, damage, or theft that may occur.

 

Undeliverable Item

An order is considered undeliverable if:

·        The recipient’s address is incomplete, incorrect, or cannot be located.

·        No one is available to receive the order, and there is no safe place to leave it.

A place is considered not safe if it includes (but is not limited to):

·        Areas clearly visible from the street where items could be taken

·        Spots exposed to heat, direct sun, rain, or other weather

·        Locations where pets or wildlife may interfere with the flowers

 

Floral Gifts including Alcohol (QLD Requirements)

In Queensland, floral gifts that include alcohol follow strict delivery rules:

Same-day deliveries: Alcohol cannot be left unattended under any circumstances.

Non–same-day deliveries: Alcohol may only be left unattended if the purchaser has explicitly requested it and the spot is not visible from the street or at risk of theft.

 

Delivery Requirements

·        Age Verification: The person receiving the order must be 18+ and show valid photo ID if they look under 25.

·        Intoxication: We cannot deliver alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated.

·        Unattended Delivery:

Same-day: Never permitted.

Non–same-day: Only if the sender instructs us to and the location is safe and discreet.

·        Gifts: For gift orders, ID must still be checked to confirm the recipient is 18 or older.

 

Dates when there is NO delivery

·        on Sundays, unless it is Valentine's Day or Mother's Day;

·        on National Public Holidays. Orders placed for these days will be delivered on the next business day;

·        on QLD State or Gold Coast Local Public Holidays. Orders placed for these days will be delivered on the next business day.

 

 

 

Redelivery

Our couriers can arrange redelivery on the next available day (unless it falls on a No Delivery Day — see definition below) once the redelivery fee has been paid.

While the No Walrus team and our couriers will always do our best to help make redelivery happen, we cannot be held responsible for the success of a redelivery if the scheduled date is a non-delivery day. We’re also unable to take responsibility for the condition of perishable items, such as flowers, if the next available delivery day is a non-delivery day or if a second delivery attempt is unsuccessful despite reasonable efforts by the courier.

 

Redelivery fees

·        Redelivery to the same address is charged at the same rate as the original delivery fee.

·        If the delivery address changes, the fee will be based on the delivery rate for the new location.

·        If the courier needs to return to the same address again on the same day because no one was available on the first attempt, a redelivery fee will apply. This is also subject to courier availability, as drivers may not always be able to return on the same day.

 

Residential Deliveries

Standard residential deliveries are usually made between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday, with Saturday being a selective trading day.

 

Business Deliveries

Business deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We’re unable to accommodate special timing requests such as the recipient leaving work early or the business closing before 5pm.

 

If the recipient leaves before 5pm and we haven’t been given clear instructions in advance, our courier will:

·        Leave the flowers with a co-worker, or

·        Place them in a suitable spot inside the premises (such as reception) if the business is open but unattended.

If the courier arrives and the business is closed before 5pm, the flowers will be taken back with the courier. Redelivery can be arranged for the next business day once the redelivery fee has been paid.

Refund

If you change your mind about your flower purchase, we’re happy to offer a full refund as long as the order hasn’t been made. Please note that if we’ve purchased flowers specifically for your order, a refund may not be possible.

 

Claim Procedure

Due to the nature of the products, please make sure the following procedures are followed, otherwise refund can not be guaranteed. Please email your claim to ‘hello@nowalrus.com.au’ with the following details.

Ø It must include clear photos showcasing the issue of the affected stem and of the product as a whole;

Ø Reason for the claim.

Ø Please do not dispose of the claim product for 48 hours in case we need more information or recall it off you.   

 

Freshness of Flowers

We take great care to ensure your flowers arrive fresh and last well. If any stem in your bouquet doesn’t seem to be fresh, please reach out to us with clear photos of the whole bouquet and any specific flowers of concern. We review each situation on a case-by-case basis to make sure it’s handled fairly.

Our quality assessment applies to the value of the affected stem only, not the full bouquet or arrangement. This is because the total price reflects more than just the flowers — it includes the florist’s time, skill, design, presentation, and any floral accessories used. If a stem is deemed faulty, we’ll provide a refund or store credit equal to its value.

To help keep your bouquet looking its best, please care for the flowers properly by placing them in a clean vase, refreshing the water regularly, and trimming the stems.

Kindly bear in mind that different flowers have different vase lives.

 

Please Note

Minor blemishes or the natural ageing of a petal or two are normal and not considered a fault. These should be gently removed to keep your bouquet looking its best.

We do not cover flower failure due to rot or damage caused by leaving browning or ageing petals in place, as this can affect nearby stems. Prompt removal of spent petals is essential for preserving the overall bouquet.

 

Substitution

By placing an order with No Walrus, customers give full consent for our florists to substitute flower varieties and colours when necessary. Substitutions are made with care to maintain the overall style, value, and quality of the arrangement, and are typically due to seasonal availability or stock limitations.

 

Quality Control

Lilies, Tulips, Roses, Irises and some other flowers may arrive closed to prolong their life and protect them in transit.

 

Pet Safety

We adore our furry friends! Just a gentle reminder that some flowers can be unsafe for pets, so customers are responsible for advising recipients to keep arrangements away from curious paws.

 

Allergies & Sensitivities

Everyone’s different — and while we do our best to use beautiful, natural blooms, some people may be sensitive to certain flowers. No Walrus isn’t able to take responsibility for any allergic reactions or discomfort. We recommend keeping your recipient’s health needs in mind when placing your order.
